A Sense of pride in our Academy

A uniform is central to schools building a sense of community among students, staff and parents as well as the local community. We find that students are proud to represent our academy in public through their wearing of our uniform. 

Wellbeing

School uniform plays a key role in promoting pride, self-confidence, and a feeling of belonging within the student body. These factors contribute to students’ wellbeing, removing the additional pressures of deciding what to wear and added stress of meeting the expectations of their peers. Uniform removes the points of difference between students, thus unifying the student body and providing a greater focus on academic work.

Dress for Professional Success

School uniforms encourage students to learn the importance of dressing for success and are thought to contribute in a positive way to their attitude and behaviour in school.

As they develop an association between their uniform and learning, simply putting on their uniform helps a child get into the right mindset, preparing them for a day of working hard and focusing.
